After reaching a consensus through friendly consultation, Iban Cuadrado, a famous Spanish coach born on February 21, 1979, officially stepped in to become the head coach of the first team of Wuxi Wuhu Football Club.
The coach, who grew up in the La Masia youth training camp, played with stars such as Xavi and Iniesta when he was young, and began his career at Barcelona, covering European clubs such as Morsia, Malaga and Rayo Vallecano. 2013, Iban traveled across the ocean to join Shanghai Dongya; in 2015, he moved to Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng, and helped the team join the Chinese Super League the following year.
After retiring from the game, Iban, who has been in coaching since 2017, kicked off his coaching career in Murcia.In 2018, he returned to Barcelona as an assistant coach for the U17 and U18 teams, helping the team to win the U17 and U18 league titles. From 2021 to 2023, Iban served as Barcelona's U18 head coach and earned his UEFA Professional Coaching Certificate, leading the team to numerous international successes.
