URGENT STATEMENT: Solving the mystery of the rumored 2024 Central League opener
Recently, the network circulated the "Guangxi Pingguo Ha Loud and clear full preparation for the debut" and "2024 China A opening game will be located in Pingguo" news, in this regard, my club officially issued the following statement:
I. In order to promote the magnificent Guangxi, carry forward the culture of ethnic minorities, help enhance the city brand and expand the popularity of professional soccer in Guangxi, our club did submit an application to the CFA in mid-January 2024 to host the 2024 Central League Opening Match. However, as of now, the CFA has not yet determined the location and host organization for the opening match.
Secondly, the CFA today issued a notice calling for organizers for the 2024 China League One opening match. After receiving this notice, our club is resubmitting the application and preparation program in accordance with the CFA regulations.
Third, the media that first started this rumor has issued a corrected report, calling on fans to be more vigilant and asking the media to be sure to base their reports on facts and avoid spreading unconfirmed news. Please refer to the official news released by the CFA for specific matters regarding the opening match of the China League.
