Gu Ying reporter came to the latest news: the opening ceremony of the new season of the Chinese Super League will change venues, no longer staged in Tianjin, but the national soccer team's World Cup qualifying home will be settled in Tianjin.
Gu Ying posted a photo on Weibo with the caption: "As the Chinese New Year approaches, two major events in the Chinese soccer world are closely linked to Tianjin in March. On the one hand, the national soccer team is looking for an ideal home stadium; on the other hand, the Chinese Super League officials are exploring the possibility of organizing the opening ceremony of the new season with the Tianjin Tigers club and the Tianjin district. It is worth mentioning that TEDA Football Stadium witnessed the opening ceremony of the first year of the Chinese Super League in 2004, and it is significant that it is the venue for the opening ceremony again after 20 years. However, after a comprehensive assessment, coupled with the eagerness of other regions, the opening ceremony of the new season of the Chinese Super League ultimately failed to settle in Tianjin. Nevertheless, the footprints of the national soccer team will once again set foot on the land of Tianjin."
It is reported that the national soccer team will host Singapore and Thailand as the 36th top team in the world qualifiers in March and June this year. According to inside information, the CFA has conducted a site visit to the soccer venue in Tianjin on February 4th.
