Turning back the clock to April 7, 2002, the fifth round of the AA League resumed with Dalian Shide defeating Qingdao Yi Zhong Hainiu 2-1 in a thrilling match. Jangovic sealed the victory for his team with a penalty kick created by himself in the 68th minute (actually it should be the 64th minute), which was also his debut goal in Dalian. It's worth noting that An Qi performed heroically in the day's match, while referee Tan Hai's call sparked widespread controversy.

Turning to November 24th, the 29th round of the AA League, Dalian Shide faced a life and death battle and had to win at home to keep their hopes of a third consecutive title. In the end, they beat Beijing Guoan 2-1, with Jan Govic scoring in the 36th minute to set the stage for victory. After the game, he celebrated the victory with his teammates in a crowded picture. For fans unfamiliar with this history, leave a question. In that season, Jangovic was honored as the best foreigner.

On July 30, 2003, Dalian Shide won a 4-1 victory over Northwest Wolf Shaanxi Guoli at home, and Jangovic scored three consecutive shots on goal, completing his first hat-trick after joining Dalian, and also the first hat-trick in the first league of the A League that year.

On August 30, the AFC Champions League semi-final was held at the People's Stadium in Dalian to a packed house. Dalian Shide narrowly beat UAE powerhouse Al Ain 4-3, but were burdened by black whistles in the first round, and ended up going out 6-7 on aggregate, missing out on the inaugural AFC Champions League title.

One year later, on October 23, the 24th round of the Chinese Super League, Dalian Shide once again beat Wuhan Huanghelou 2-0 at home to win the title two rounds ahead of schedule. Jangovic broke the deadlock through a penalty kick in the 60th minute and celebrated with his teammates, including Zou Jie, Zhai Yanpeng, Zhao Xuri and Andilson. After the match, he displayed the Vulcan Cup with Brazilian defender Andilson and Serbian player Panta. That season, Jangovic was once again honored as the league's best foreigner and became the Chinese Super League's assists leader.

On November 20, the final of the Chinese Football Association Cup was held at TEDA Stadium, and Dalian Shide defeated Shandong Luneng 1-0 to achieve the double crown. Jangovic collected several honors after the match.

On November 14, 2007, the last round of Chinese Super League, Dalian Shide narrowly defeated Qingdao 3-2 at home, which was also the last game of Jan Govich on behalf of Dalian. After the match, General Manager Li Ming presented him with a trophy and a commemorative jersey, and took a group photo with his teammates Zou Jie, Hu Zhaojun and Chen Dong. There are also familiar faces in the picture such as Yan Song, Zhang Yaokun, Li Xuepeng and Ji Mingyi.
