In 2013, Qi Tianyu, who traveled across the ocean to study in Europe, stepped onto the field of Casapia in Portugal's top league. However, at the end of the season, he decided to return to his homeland and joined Shandong Taishan to enter the Chinese Super League. Despite playing for Taishan for ten seasons, Qi Tianyu was never able to win a place in the team. Ten seasons of struggle, he only appeared in the Taishan team 44 Super League games.

The previous season, Taishan loaned Qi Tianyu to Chinese First Division side Jinan Xingzhou. After playing 11 games for the team, Qi Tianyu showed remarkable athleticism with 4 assists.

At the end of the season, Qi Tianyu returned to Taishan along with teammate Wu Xinghan and others. Wu Xinghan was selected to enter the AFC Champions League, but Qi Tianyu once again encountered Cui Kangxi's abandonment. The dream of the AFC Champions League is shattered, and the No. 15 jersey hangs in the balance, signaling that Qi Tianyu's possibility of staying at Taishan in the new season is becoming increasingly slim.

It is reported that the Taishan team did not register Qi Tianyu for next season's Chinese Super League roster, either by loaning him out again or by canceling his contract, allowing Qi Tianyu to join other teams. Although the Taishan team no longer see Qi Tianyu as the main force, but his strength and form is still enough to become a key rotation player in the middle and lower reaches of the Super League team.

Qi Tianyu, a son of Dengzhou, Henan Province, is now actively recruiting local players for the Henan Songshan Dragons. Perhaps the best place for Qi Tianyu is to return to his roots and return to the Henan Songshan Longmen. Whether or not he can get what he wants depends on whether or not Shandong Taishan is willing to fulfill this favor by releasing Qi Tianyu in advance...
