Uzbekistan's women's soccer team, ranked 47th in the world, returned to their home turf to meet the challenge of the world's 12th-ranked powerhouse, the Australian women's soccer team, in the opening match of the third stage of the women's soccer qualifying tournament for the Paris Olympics.

Prior to the match, the Australian women's soccer team had suffered consecutive defeats, however, the Uzbekistan team has performed slightly better recently, showing some signs of recovery with a record of 1 win and 1 loss. Nevertheless, the Australian team is clearly superior to the Uzbek team in terms of strength. As a result, less than 20% of fans favor Uzbekistan to beat Australia at home.

After dominating the early stages of the match but failing to capitalize on their scoring chances, Australia broke the deadlock in the second half (Hyman scored in the 73rd minute with a header from inside the penalty area). Uzbekistan fought back strongly, but unfortunately could not make up the difference, as Australia, with their strength and solid defense, did not give their opponents any chances to take advantage of the situation.

Into the 85th minute, Fowler added another point for Australia.

Immediately following the 87th minute of the match, Caitlin delivered a crucial strike to secure the win for Australia.

In the end, Australia managed to lock up the lead with an overwhelming victory over Uzbekistan. It can be said that the Australian team has stepped on the threshold of the Paris Olympics. Let us extend our warmest congratulations to the Australian team!
