In the latest news from Fox Sports, the women's soccer world is in for a shocker: the NWSL Gulf Coast Women's Soccer team has officially announced the successful importation of Zambian striker Kundanangi for a record transfer fee of $787,000 dollars.

That transfer move occurred on Tuesday, when Kundanangi signed a five-year professional contract with Bay Women's Soccer, with the fifth year featuring an optional extension clause for both parties. It's worth noting that the transfer fee set a new record for a transfer fee in women's soccer.

Kundanangi, 23, played for CFF Women's Soccer in Madrid, Spain before joining Gulf Coast Women's Soccer. In 29 games last season, she contributed a dazzling 25 goals and three assists. This season, Kundanangi has been equally impressive, turning in eight goals and two assists in 14 games. She also represented the Zambian national team at the Women's World Cup last year, scoring 10 goals.

Commenting on the signing of Kundanangi, Lucy, General Manager of Gulf Soccer Club, said confidently, "Kundanangi always stays calm in front of the goal, and she is able to flexibly adjust her shooting skills to different positions. We are confident that she will continue to progress at our club, playing to her strengths, improving the team's offense and showcasing her offensive talent."
