The Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF) expresses its sincere gratitude to Petar Sheghart for his contribution and has high hopes for his future achievements in soccer.

During his tenure in charge of the Tajikistan national team, Croatian soccer expert Petar Šegelt led the team to a breakthrough in the Asian Cup, successfully advancing to the quarterfinals, an achievement that is enough to highlight his excellent ability in tactical layout and team building.

In the past two years, Petar Sheghart has experienced 24 matches with the Tajikistan national team, with a record of 11 wins, 7 draws and 6 losses. Under his leadership, the national team has also won two international tournaments, the King Thai Cup and the Malaysian Independence Cup, demonstrating his unique coaching style.

The Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF) said it will officially announce the new national team head coach in the coming days.

It's worth noting that Tajikistan's men's soccer team won 1, drew 1, and lost 1 on their Asian Cup debut, and knocked out the UAE on penalties in the 1/8 finals. Despite losing 0-1 to Jordan in the quarterfinals, Tajikistan's world ranking jumped from 106th to 99th, a remarkable improvement.
