Audit of clubs for the new league season
According to the latest report of the North Youth Daily, 50 clubs have been confirmed to register for the new season at all levels of the league. After an initial review, 42 clubs have already passed, while the remaining 8 clubs still need to improve the relevant materials. Notably, two Chinese Super League clubs based in northern China have failed to pass the initial review, a news that has quickly sparked debate among fans. Although there is no exact information on which two clubs failed to pass the audit, according to fans' analysis, it is likely to involve Cangzhou Lions and Beijing Guoan.
Looking back at the past two seasons, Cangzhou Lions almost lost their Super League qualification due to serious salary arrears. Although they eventually got players to sign on through a property loan and were able to compete, the team, led by Zhao Junzhe, managed to survive relegation but performed negatively in the latter stages of the league due to the treatment of their employees. The Cangzhou Lions have suffered frequent defeats recently and appear to be giving up, but the club has not given up on saving itself.
Cangzhou Lions successfully coordinated the signatures of the local players as they understood that continued participation in the Chinese Super League was the key to resolving the arrears issue. If the foreign players refused to sign, it could lead to the dissolution of the club and no source of income for the players. However, the foreign aiders demanded that the arrears of wages be paid before signing, preventing Cangzhou Lions from passing the initial audit.
Beijing Guoan is also in trouble over unpaid foreign aid. The new foreign aid, De Souza, asked for a raise but performed poorly and was eventually dropped by Guoan. His refusal to sign the act puts Guoan's access to the game in jeopardy and the fans feel very helpless. Both Guoan and Cangzhou Lions are currently seeking a solution to the foreign aid salary arrears issue, which is expected to bring positive news to the fans.
