
Today, the bustling city of Shanghai welcomed a special celebration - the Harbour Club celebrated its 18th youthful birthday.
Going back in time, the predecessor of Harbour Club - Shanghai Dongya FC - was born on December 25, 2005, a day destined to become an important one in the city's sports history book.
The following year, in 2006, Shanghai Dongya FC embarked on the journey of professional league, in 2007, they won the laurels of the Chinese B League with valor, and in 2012, they climbed to the new heights of the Chinese Super League with extraordinary strength.
The turning point came at the end of 2014, when the Shanghai SIPG Group took over the baton of the club and changed its name to Shanghai SIPG, which ushered in a new vitality and vigor for the club.
In 2018, Shanghai SIPG FC won the Chinese Super League trophy one round ahead of schedule with a breakthrough performance, which is not only a recognition of their efforts, but also the first league trophy since the club's establishment.
The years went by like a song, and at the beginning of 2021, Shanghai SIPG once again changed its name to Shanghai Harbour Club, while in 2023, they wrote a new glory and successfully lifted the second Chinese Super League trophy in the team's history.
