Bulgarian coach Yasen Petrov, who has spent many years in China's soccer world, is about to start a new chapter with the Qingdao Sea Bulls. According to the Peninsula Metropolis Daily News, the experienced coach is actively going through the entry procedures and is expected to set foot on Qingdao soil around the New Year's Day holiday, shouldering the helm of the Sea Bulls in the new season.

Qingdao Sea Bulls club executives recently confirmed that the much-anticipated selection of the new season's head coach has been finalized, and Yasen Petrov will officially take over the coaching whip of the Sea Bulls. He has had a rich coaching career in China and has formed a bond with Chinese soccer.

Yasen Petrov's name rings a bell with many Chinese soccer fans, especially in Wuhan and Shijiazhuang. Yassin has been playing for Wuhan Yaqi as a foreigner since 1997, when he started his career in Chinese soccer as a Bulgarian international. It was during his time as head coach of Shijiazhuang Yongchang that he really made a name for himself in the soccer world. In 2013, Yassen took charge of Shijiazhuang Yongchang for the first time, leading the team to the Super League the following year and finishing seventh in the Chinese Super League until his departure in 2016. In 2018, he returned to Yongchang once again, leading the team in a 10-month campaign. In addition, Yassen has also coached the Henan Jianye team and the Beijing North Sports University team.

It is reported that Yassen will join with two assistant coaches upon his arrival in China. Meanwhile, the Manatees will also retain their existing Chinese coaching team and plan to announce a brand new coaching lineup to the public next week.
