Soccer Daily's latest disclosure that our national soccer team has suffered a sudden personnel change in rival Qatar for the upcoming Asian Cup group stage. This change seems to be an unexpected shot in the arm for the national soccer team.

Only 38 days before the opening match of the Asian Cup, the Qatar team suddenly announced the dismissal of its head coach Queiroz, and the Portuguese coach in Qatar only 10 months. Immediately after, the Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced that the former Wakala coach, Spaniard Max Lopez, would take over and lead the team in the Asian Cup.

Although the 61-year-old has extensive experience as a first-team coach at Espanyol and has been involved in soccer education since 2012, his knowledge of Qatari soccer stems from his three years coaching in Europe, where he briefly coached Seaport in 2017 and returned to Qatar in 2018 to help Wakrah to a successful promotion campaign. This experience has made him know the Qatar League inside out and has certainly made him an ideal candidate in the eyes of the Football Association.

For the Chinese national soccer team, such a change of opponents definitely increases the variables of the game. The new coach Lopez, although experienced, is still inexperienced at the national team level. Facing the next matches, including the showdown with Qatar, the national soccer team has only four matches for tactical bonding. In contrast, Queiroz is more familiar with Asian soccer, but now it's all history.
