On November 15, the national football team stepped on the land of Thailand to open the 13th World Cup journey. Looking back, the national football team in the 12 World Cup qualifiers performance, only the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan a campaign, successfully advanced to the final round.

In 2002, the national team advanced to the top 10 with a record of 6 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, and entered the World Cup final round for the first time.

In 2006, the national soccer team won 5 and lost 1 in the group stage, and failed to enter the eight-team tournament after being ranked second in the group with the disadvantage of the number of goals scored.

In 2010, the national soccer team won 3, drew 3 and lost 2 in the group stage, and unfortunately failed to advance to the top 10.

In 2014, the national soccer team won three and lost three in the group stage, finishing third in the group and failing to qualify for the Top 10.

In 2018, the national soccer team won five, drew two and lost one in the group stage and entered the Top 12 as second in the group, only to win three, draw three and lose four in the Round of 12, fifth in the group, and once again missing out on the World Cup.

In 2022, the national soccer team won six, drew one and lost one in the group stage to reach the top 12, but ended up with one win, three draws and six losses, fifth in the group, missing out on the World Cup final round.
