Early in the morning of October 5, China's women's soccer internationals Shen Mengyu and Zhang Linyan departed from Shanghai and embarked on a flight to London, England. Their goal is to join Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League and Celtic FC of the Scottish Premier League to prepare for the upcoming season. They will be followed by fellow Chinese soccer player Li Mengwen, who is currently playing for Brighton in the English Premier League, and is also about to embark on her English Premier League journey. Despite the fact that China's women's soccer team still has stars such as Wang Frost in its lineup, the team is still confident and is expected to win the silver medal in the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games women's soccer tournament by beating Uzbekistan.

According to a Beijing Youth Daily reporter, Celtic, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton all applied to the Chinese women's soccer team through the CFA to recall Shen Mengyu, Zhang Linyan and Li Mengwen after the women's soccer semifinal match against Japan at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

After careful consideration, the Chinese women's soccer coaching staff approved the requests of the three clubs. As a result, Zhang Linyan and Shen Mengyu departed from Shanghai on the morning of October 5, while Li Mengwen was scheduled to depart the following day.

The new USSR Premier League season is now in its eighth round and Celtic Ladies are second in the table, just one round behind the leaders. They will meet the challenge of Glasgow City Ladies, who are currently third in the table, on the evening of October 5th at home.

The English Premier League Women's Football League officially kicks off on October 1, with Tottenham Hotspur Women's Football Club set to face Bristol Women's Football Club in the second round of the competition on October 8, while Brighton Women's Football Club will host West Ham Women's Football Club. Both coaching staffs are eager to have Zhang Linyan and Li Mengwen back as soon as possible to help their teams take advantage of the new season.

After the departure of three national team players, the Chinese women's soccer team is now left with only two overseas players, Wang Frost and Uri Gumura. Nonetheless, the Chinese women's soccer team faced a weaker Uzbekistan team in the battle for the bronze medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games. In the group stage, the Chinese women's soccer team swept the opponent with a score of 6-0, and even if most of the overseas players are absent, the team is still expected to beat the opponent and win the bronze medal.
