From September 19 to October 7, Hangzhou will be the beacon for the Asian Games men's soccer tournament. For this event, the Chinese men's Asian Games team is scheduled to assemble on September 2nd in Hangzhou. At that time, if the conditions are ripe, the team will carry out two teaching matches, the opponents may be other non-conference opponents, or the elite of domestic clubs. It is reported that the coaching staff intends to select about 25 players to participate in the training, in view of the Olympic Games preliminaries and league injuries, will be screened according to the real situation, and ultimately formed a 22-player lineup.

With the third phase (24th round) of the Chinese Super League (CSL) in the books, September's international match days will witness the preparation of national teams at all levels. Among them, the Chinese men's football team for the Asian Games, featuring 1999-age players, will gather in Hangzhou on Sept. 2 to build up their strength for the Asian Games men's football tournament. The schedule shows that the Chinese men's soccer team will face their group stage opponents on the evenings of September 19th, 21st and 24th. It is worth mentioning that the players will miss the 25th-27th rounds of the Chinese Super League, or the 21st-24th rounds of the tournament due to the non-international match day schedule. For this reason, the CFA and league managers may compensate players by adjusting the foreign aid appearance policy or temporarily increasing the number of team registration slots.

The men's Asian Games team will be assembled for two internal instructional matches. At least one of the opponents will be involved in the Asian Games men's soccer tournament, while the other may be a representative of a participating team or a domestic club.

According to the rules of the Asian Games soccer tournament, each team can have a maximum of 22 players. However, several young players such as Huang Zihao and Tao Qianglong have already been called up for the Olympic preliminaries, and they will play in the first phase of the Asian zone from September 6 to 12 in Dalian. Meanwhile, the coaching staff will also call up other candidates due to injuries sustained during the league. As for overage players, such as Tan Long and Gao Tianyi, they had represented the national team in June and performed well. However, with injuries plaguing the team, some key position players may miss this training, and the coaching staff has to prepare for the selection of overage players, including Wu Xi, Zhang Ningbao and Zhang Lin.
