After Changchun Yatai FC bid farewell to Leonardo, a transfer storm quickly swept over the club - a 30-year-old Serbian striker, Nenad Lukic, is set to join CSL's Changchun Yatai, according to an official revelation from the Budapest Defenders. The news came out that Lukic has a value tag of up to 150,000 euros.

The 1.85-meter Serbian winger spent the early part of his career with a number of clubs, including Donisrem, Subotica Sparta, Bezagna, Radnik, Zemun, Rad and Boraczaczak. In 2018, he joined Fudrbarski, where he helped the team to a successful promotion in his first season with nine goals. In the following two seasons, Lukic scored 16 and 18 goals, winning the Golden and Silver Boots of the Srpska Premier League, and was selected for the Serbian national team, competing under Stolica (interim coach).
In the summer of 2021, Lukic moved to Budapest Defenders of the Hungarian Liga for a fee of €350,000. Despite his consistent and steady play over the past two seasons, the club's woes have not changed because of him. Budapest Defenders slipped into the second division at the end of last season, and according to the rules of the Hungarian Football Association, second division teams are not allowed to register foreign players. However, the club managed to activate Lukic's contract extension clause to recoup part of the transfer fee.
