With the bell ringing on July 1, the summer transfer feast of the 2023 Chinese Super League season has arrived as promised. In this beacon of a field, the 16 giants are each thinking of their own, rubbing their fists, and striving to strengthen their strength through reinforcements. The focus is undoubtedly Leonardo will join the Zhejiang team, and Alan returned to Qingdao Hainiu rumors. However, the Dalian and Shenzhen teams are bound by the transfer ban and can only look forward to the future. The likelihood of members of the national team transferring is even more remote.
The shadow of FIFA still hangs over some teams. Dalian Ren and Shenzhen have been issued transfer bans and are unable to sign new players due to outstanding litigation. Guoan was also banned, but has paid up and the ban was lifted. Meanwhile, other teams are watching in secret, waiting for the best time.
Leader Shanghai Harbor is already sitting pretty, and the possibility of bringing in new players is low. Shanghai Shenhua follow with the addition of Dai Weijun not making waves for now. Chengdu Rongcheng is expected to look for reinforcements after Romulo's season-ending injury, while Tianjin Jinmen Tigers are conservative. Shandong Taishan are fifth, but rumors of bringing in a fifth foreigner have not revealed a target.
Changchun Yatai is in dire need of additional firepower after losing Leonardo. Beijing Guoan is in desperate need of reinforcements with Zhang Yuning and Yang Liyu seriously injured, and the lifting of the transfer ban is a welcome relief. As for the relegated teams, Nantong Zhiyun has brought in new recruits, and Qingdao Hainiu is rumored to be in talks with Alan, who may be on the verge of completing his transfer.
There is little movement in the summer transfer window for current national team players, most of whom will stay with their original teams.
