The latest news from Soccer Daily says that Shenhua coach Wu Jingui is in for a big challenge during the mid-season break - a number of players on the team are about to be selected for the Asian Games national youth soccer team.

Looking back at the 12th round of the Chinese Super League, Shenhua beat Manatee 1-0 with a goal, reaching 25 points and leading the table for the time being. However, such a report card does not seem to be a glory for Shenhua, which has many young players.

With the national team training and the Asian Games approaching, Shenhua will have to face a large-scale mobilization of international players, which is undoubtedly a severe test for the team. On the international day this month, Shenhua had seven players called up to the Asian Games squad.

How to fill the gap left by the transfer of players has become an important issue for Coach Wu Jingui in the interregnum. It is important to realize that Shenhua's scoring in the first 12 rounds relied heavily on these young defensive players who are leaving the team.

Shenhua players selected for the Asian Games include Wen Jiabao, Zhu Chenjie, Jiang Shenglong, Liu Ruofan, Wang Haijian, Zhang Wei and Xu Hoyang.
