A survey in Yanyang Township, Meixian District, Meizhou City, reveals that the R&F Soccer School, the "Blue Lions of Southern Guangdong", is still standing firm even as the soccer world is in flux. As one of China's "Four Great Soccer Schools", R&F Soccer School is searching for a new way to train young players. Mr. Feng Shiliang, the principal of the school, reveals: "The cooperation was short-lived, but it gave the school an opportunity to grow. After careful adjustments by the management, we are back on track."
Stepping into the 10th year of the school, Feng Shiliang looks forward with confidence to the Fortune Soccer School: "We will continue to work on this hot land of soccer in Meizhou, and look forward to nurturing the next Guangdong player who will shine internationally."
Qiu Xingquan, head of the Athlete Development Center, recalled the cooperation with Chelsea and Ajax: "The two top clubs sent 20 foreign coaches, from which we learned and formed a unique youth training system. This system covers techniques and tactics, talent identification, data analysis, sports performance evaluation and rehabilitation and physiotherapy, which will have a profound impact on future development."
Today, the school has 203 students, including 71 free elite students and 132 fee-paying students. six elite teams from U100 to U16 form the school's talent development system. Principal Feng Shiliang also said bluntly, "Funding is the key to the long-term operation of the school. We strive to be self-sufficient through activity camps and tuition fees. Currently, the annual expenditure is about 15 million dollars."
