the full moon

Well-known media personality Ran disclosed that the soccer team that won the "Central" title last season was suspected of playing a false match in Shandong's Taishan province, in which player Jin Jingdao was not included in the team's lineup for 13 consecutive rounds after a match. According to another media report, Hao Wei, Sun Junhao and Guo Tianyu were suspected of accepting a 2 million yuan bribe from Fu Xiang, the former secretary general of the Wuhan Football Association, and the former agent of the "champion team".

The 6 million RMB will be divided into three parts: 2 million for Taishan's home match against the "champion team", 2 million for Taishan's home match against Cangzhou Lions, and 2 million for the away match against the "champion team". Looking back at the 22 season's schedule, these three matches should correspond to Round 18 (Shandong Taishan 1-1 Wuhan Sanzhen), Round 28 (Taishan 2-3 Cangzhou Lions), and Round 30 (Wuhan Sanzhen 1-1 Shandong Taishan). The purpose of this is obvious, only to let the "winning team" finally be crowned.

Looking back, fans and media were shocked by the performance of the Taishan team and blamed it for its "habitual failure to defend". However, there was a huge black hole behind it. Looking back at the December 27, 2022 statement of "no contest week", it is laughable.

Needless to say, the "winning team" in the "central" part of the country undoubtedly refers to last season's Chinese Super League champions Wuhan Sanzhen.

Article 73 of the Disciplinary Code of the Chinese Football Association clearly states that if the process and results of a match seriously violate sportsmanship and cause an adverse social impact, the results of the match and other penalties will be canceled and may be combined. Article 74, on the other hand, stipulates that those who violate sports ethics, lose the spirit of sportsmanship and engage in improper transactions for undue benefits will be fined, deducted points, demoted or disqualified from registration.

If the above reports are true, I think the FA is under the most pressure and perhaps the public is already suffering like ants on a hot pan.

How do you deal with these two teams that are suspected of playing fake football?

If only fines and demerit points are imposed, I am afraid that public opinion can hardly be pacified. In addition, the Zhejiang team, which was expected to win the third place, qualified for this year's Asian Champions League for some reasons. Chengdu Chengdu and Songshan Longmen (now Henan) will also qualify for the Asian Champions League (play-offs). Will these teams be accepted again?

If these two teams are relegated, will the remainder of this season's Chinese Super League be completed by 14 teams, or will two teams be added from China's first division to make it to the round of 16? This is certainly a tricky question. For example, how will the scores be counted in the seven matches that have been completed? Chinese First Division teams, and other teams that continue to play in the Chinese First Division? Should there be additional teams in the Chinese First Division? What about the Champions League? This series of questions has overwhelmed the FA staff.

Indeed, these are minor issues. The biggest dilemma may lie with the national team.

In these two teams, there are more than 10 active international players (except Jin Jingdao and Wu Xinghan) such as Liu Dianzheng, Deng Hanwen, Gao Junyi, Xie Pengfei, Wei Shihao, Wang Dalei, Sun Guowen, Liu Binbin, Liu Yang, Fei Nando, Chen Pu, and other former international or quasi-internationals such as Zheng Zheng Zheng, He Chao, Jixiang, Shi Ke, Wang Tong, Liu Yiming, etc., who almost take up more than half of the national team's training roster, and many of them are still the absolute mainstays or mainstays of the rotation. Wang Dalei and Liu Dengzheng, in particular, are the second and third goalkeepers of the national team. If these players were to play in the Central League, even Myanmar would have trouble winning. If that's the case, what about the national team?

However, if it is not dealt with seriously, or even mishandled, because of the "care" of the national team and "mud", the anti-corruption of soccer continues, who dares to be the master of this? How can the CFA hold its head up?

On May 18, the South Korean media outlet Dong-A Ilbo, in discussing the Son Jun-ho incident, pointed out that Chinese soccer, which is riddled with match-fixing, club bankruptcies, and delinquent wages and transfer fees, has collapsed, and that the national team can't even beat Southeast Asian teams.

Chen Xuyuan once pessimistically said that Chinese soccer was in danger of collapsing. Surprisingly, this was a prophecy. However, it was Chen Xuyuan, Du Zhaocai and other corrupt FA officials who really tapped into this debacle.

I really don't know how the FA is dealing with this mess.
