As we all know, the anti-corruption storm in China's soccer world has taken a major turn in the in-depth investigation of alleged fake gambling and black incidents in the league. Among them, the Chinese Super League giants Shandong Taishan were deeply victimized, with former manager Hao Wei and a number of core players caught up in the whirlpool of the investigation. In particular, the arrest of South Korean foreign aid player Sun Jun Hao has attracted widespread attention from domestic and international media.
According to official information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sun Junho has been confirmed to be suspected of accepting bribes, often referred to in the industry as "match-fixing", and is currently under investigation by the Shenyang police. Given that his foreign status involves transnational violations of the law, it seems difficult for Sun Junhao to escape justice.
Ran Xiongfei, who has been the subject of constant media exposure in the recent anti-corruption crackdown, spoke out on social media to express his views on the matter. He believes that Son Junho's first charge is undoubtedly certain, obviously receiving black money from relegation or championship rivals in a huge amount. I am afraid that the Korean Football Association and the status of Korean international player will be difficult to keep, and he may lose more happiness.
Ran Xiongfei also revealed a worrying news. He analyzed that the new manager Cui Kangxi must lead Shandong Taishan to fight for more points when he takes over, as the alleged cases of Hao Wei and Jin Jingde and others will be tried in August and September. If they are not relegated outright, they could be seen as extrajudicial. The minimum penalty from the FA will be a fine, and Taishan fear being penalized for not having enough points.
Ran Xiongfei's revelations seem to make sense. For Shandong Taishan, the arrest and investigation of a number of players, including the head coach, may also involve problems at the team level. Perhaps the CFA is also waiting for a final verdict on the anti-corruption case.
At present, the key to whether Shandong Taishan can get back on track after replacing their manager is the ability of the new manager. More importantly, the verdict of the anti-corruption case will be the deciding factor. If the club is suspected of fake gambling, as Ran Xiongfei said, not directly relegated has been extrajudicial.
