Dandong Tengyue, like a bright dark horse, surged in the promotion league. After three consecutive draws, they won both matches, 3-2 against Sichuan Jiuniu on the road, and 2-0 against Liaoning Shenyang City on the home field to pocket the derby. They won all five matches to finish fifth with nine points, making them a force to be reckoned with in the tournament. Liaoning Shenyang City, on the other hand, suffered their first loss of the season and slipped to ninth place.
Suzhou Dongwu's derby with Nanjing City Jiangsu ended in a 1-1 draw, and regrettably, they suffered their first loss of the season when their hosts went down 0-2 to Heilongjiang Bingcheng in the next round. Nevertheless, they are still in sixth place with eight points. Heilongjiang Bingcheng, on the other hand, kicked off their five-game winning streak with a win against Fan Bojian and Tang Shi, who scored his second goal of the season, and are now 11th with five points, and will return to the Harbin Convention and Exhibition Center Stadium on May 21st to make their home debut against Guangzhou.
Shijiazhuang Kung Fu followed up their win over Guangzhou with a goal from Ogbu, beating Dongguan United for their second consecutive win and seventh place. Dongguan Donglian, on the other hand, suffered their second defeat and are tied for eighth with Shijiazhuang Kung Fu with seven points.
Mayanbian Longding, meanwhile, relied on goals from Han Guanghui and Li Shibin to beat Jiangxi Lushan 2-0 and sit in 10th place with six points after the match.
Currently, there are four other teams yet to taste victory, namely Shanghai Jiading Huilong, Guangzhou Team, Wuxi Wu Hook and Jiangxi Lushan. They have sounded the relegation alarm early and the situation is worrisome.
