Toward the end of last month, the U22 national Olympic team was challenged by European powerhouses, first losing 1-2 to Montenegro U21, and then losing 1-2 to Bosnia and Herzegovina U21 in two consecutive matches, which has called into question the tactical arrangement and field commanding ability of the head coach, Cheng Yaodong. Many fans have called for the U20 foreign coach Antonio, despite the fact that his contract with the FA has expired and not been renewed, to bring some new changes.

The U22 national Olympic team is not well known in the country and the players are rarely known by fans. Coupled with the limited coaching style and level of local coach Cheng Yaodong, it seems to be a distant dream to make a name for themselves at the 2024 Olympics.

Meanwhile, things are not looking good for the Vietnamese Olympic team. The addition of South Korean coach Park Hang-su has not brought the expected results. Last month, Vietnam finished at the bottom of the Doha Cup Youth Invitational Tournament, losing 0-3 to Iraq, then 0-4 to the United Arab Emirates, and finally 5-6 to Kyrgyzstan on penalties, dropping to the bottom of the rankings after all three matches.

Frequent coaching changes may affect the stability of a team, and the Vietnamese Olympic team seems to be facing such a dilemma. The future of Troussier's coaching team seems to have been overshadowed.
