Late on April 7, China's soccer governing body officially released the schedule for the 2023 season of the three-tier professional league. The much-anticipated Super League battle will kick off on April 15, while the smoke of the season will clear on November 4th.
Focus on the new Chinese Super League season
Of particular note is the fact that the 2023 Chinese Super League season will feature three two-week-long breaks, from June 10-20, September 2-12, and October 7-17, a move designed to free up preparation time for the national soccer team. During these three breaks, the FA will organize three periods of intensive training for the national team and a series of warm-up matches.
Outside of the Super League, the Central League will kick off on April 22nd and run through November 5th. The second league is scheduled to kick off on April 29th and conclude on October 22nd. This year's F.A.C. Cup will also return to its normal rhythm, running concurrently with the league, with the first round scheduled for May 17-18 and the final scheduled for Nov. 25th.
