The much-anticipated Chinese Super League (CSL) season schedule has been unveiled, with a grand soccer feast kicking off on April 15th and ending on November 4th. One of the reasons behind the compactness of the entire season, which will be completed in half a year, is to make room for the national team. According to veteran media personality Miao Yuan, numerous matches have been cleverly scheduled in the middle of the season, which is officially explained as a way to improve the team's physical fitness, undoubtedly adding another bright spot to the soccer world!

It is well known that the Chinese Super League has lagged behind the Japanese and South Korean leagues. However, discontent reached a peak when the new season's fixture list was officially unveiled. The league wrapped up early in early November, allowing plenty of time for international match days, and again, this was to once again make way for training and matches for the national soccer team!

Nonetheless, Miao Yuan pointed out that the intensive schedule of matches in the middle of the season has left many teams having to cope with the challenge of a week of double matches, and the official argument of so-called physical exercise is clearly unconvincing. Miaohara further questioned this year's clubs' general desire to boost revenues with the home-and-away system, which seems to run counter to that goal!

Midweek fixtures may not only affect fan attendance, but also pose an impact on the club's financial income. After all, clubs will have to support themselves after title sponsorships are canceled. At a time when China's soccer culture has yet to take shape, gate receipts are still an important source of income for clubs. Miao Yuan later revealed that two matches a week had to be scheduled to make way for national soccer training!

This year, the Chinese soccer league ushered in a year of recovery. Previously, the Chinese Super League's vigorous promotion has provided the national team with more training and competition opportunities, but has not really improved the overall performance of the national football team. We expect the FA to base itself on the league and push forward steadily, thus realizing the continuous improvement of youth training and national football performance!
