After a long wait, the admission list for the 2023 season of the professional league was unveiled in the early morning of March 29th. Teams such as Guangzhou City, Kunshan and Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic regretfully fell out of the list, announcing their parting with professional soccer. With that, players from these teams stepped into the transfer market as free agents. Guangzhou City has been in the Chinese Super League for 10 years and has sent many international players to the country, and there are many powerful stars in the team.

In addition to Huang Zhengyu, who has already joined Shandong Taishan, Ye Chugui and Han Jiaqi are also regulars in the national team. Han Jiaqi, the main goalkeeper of the Asian Games, is one of the most outstanding goalkeepers in the Chinese Super League in recent seasons, and is in his prime. Many fans are convinced that he will be the solid backbone of the national soccer team in the next ten years. With Guangzhou City out of the professional league, Han Jiaqi has become the meat and potatoes of the transfer market. Which club is willing to lend a hand and become a new chapter in his career?

Han Jiaqi, born in Beijing in July 1999, is 1.85 meters tall and has been trained at the Beijing Longyue Youth Training Base since he was a child. At the age of 16, he began to be selected for the national team at all levels.Han Jiaqi stepped out of the country in July 2018 to join Sporting Aves in the Portuguese Superliga, launching a career as a student abroad. He made 15 appearances for the U19s and U23s, and although he did not feature in the Portuguese Superliga roster, he has returned home for the 2019 season, joining Guangzhou City and making his Super League debut.

Han Jiaqi has been Guangzhou's starting goalkeeper since the 2020 season and has played 70 games for the team so far. Guangzhou City's attacking style and sporadic defense has provided goalkeepers such as Han Jiaqi with the opportunity to sharpen their skills. As a result, Han Jiaqi has improved rapidly in recent seasons and has been among the top saves leaders in the Chinese Super League every season. He even made his national team debut in last year's East Asian Cup.

In soccer, there is a saying that "a good goalkeeper is better than half a team". Although Han Jiaqi still has room for improvement, he is undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers in China. Which club would be willing to offer him an olive branch? Which Chinese Super League team do you think Han Jiaqi would be best suited to join? Feel free to have your say in the comments section.
