On the 20th, well-known soccer journalist Li Pingkang revealed on social media platforms that the clues to the investigation may go back to the 2015 to 2018 season of the tournament, and that period does not belong to the era when Chen Xuyuan was at the helm.

It was a "golden era" widely talked about by fans, and the leadership of the Football Association was once headed by a table tennis expert. At the same time, Li Pingkang also mentioned the rejection of Guangzhou Evergrande in one of their recruitment deals.

Li Pingkang pointed out that the earliest investigative leads have been traced back to the 15-18 season's matches, and the scope of the investigation has been extended from the Chinese Super League A to the Chinese B League. At that time, numerous players (including some who had played for a certain team) had faced investigations. Mentioning a goalkeeper from Shaanxi, Guangzhou Evergrande originally considered bringing him in, but after the investigation found that his statements were questionable, the deal was eventually abandoned.

Recently, some media outlets have pointed out that the clubs have not invested enough in recent years and the players are strapped for cash, thus giving rise to other ideas. However, Li Pingkang revealed that national soccer and Chinese Super League players have long been involved in gambling, and the problem has never stopped since 2008.

It's not simply a matter of payroll; gambling has become an industry. Teams without players involved have instead become a minority. In recent days, a huge wave has been stirred up in the domestic soccer sector. Players have been taken away for investigation and there are many suspected players, but very few of them have returned. Some former international players have even been exposed as bookmakers or gamblers, a phenomenon that is not unique to recent years.

A great deal of effort is required on the part of those involved in following up this issue. In the meantime, explanations are being given to those who have been taken away, and others have been imprisoned for a second time.

Li Pingkang did not name the goalkeeper with the poor reputation. He moved to Guizhou back in 2012 and then to Beijing after 2015. Most people like to use the term "wanderer" to describe them. Therefore, the reference to the Shaanxi team could be a reference to Chang'an Athletic, which in 2017 brought in a number of high-profile players, including former internationals.

Soccer journalist Miao Yuan also mentioned that it was a well-known veteran goalkeeper. Guangzhou Evergrande brought two AFC Champions League titles to the Chinese Super League and practiced an extremely strict management style. However, other clubs only remember their investment. Guangzhou Evergrande benefited a lot from the introduction of foreign aid, naturalized players and U23 players.

All these are related to the reputation of the team. However, some clubs let their players do whatever they want without any management, which eventually leads to the decline of the team, disappointment of the fans, and the reputation of the team is in tatters. They even want the FA to take the blame.

Numerous players and staff members are now actively cooperating with the investigation, which has been further expanded and this year's league may be postponed as a result. We hope that this investigation will result in a thorough examination and the removal of all toxins.
