After two and a half seasons in the conference league, Chinese Super League giants Guoan were unable to meet their fans at home, and both the club's finances and the team's performance were hit hard. However, with the opening of the new Worker's Stadium in 2023, Guoan will return to their home stadium and need to return the love of their fans with good results. For this reason, this season, Guoan's reinforcement efforts are far more than in the past, has successfully signed the former Taishan international footballer Fang Hao and Brazilian back De Souza.

The Chinese Super League (CSL) transfer window is open and Guoan will strengthen its squad. According to the domestic soccer media, the club plans to fully enhance its strength in the winter transfer window. In the new season, Guoan will need to strengthen the backline, midfield, and the goalkeeper position, which they have been proud of for many years.

Although Guoan has many excellent goalkeeper, but in recent years the team aging, young players exercise insufficient, the goalkeeper position is more stretched. The first team has four goalkeepers: 34-year-old Housen, 30-year-old Zou Dehai, 26-year-old Guo Quanbo and 22-year-old Ma Kunyue.

Last season, although Housen is the starting goalkeeper, but the decline in form is obvious, repeatedly making low-level mistakes. Coach Stanley had Zou Dehai as a replacement, but Zou's psychological quality is not enough, the performance is not as good as Housen, and was eventually abandoned. Guo Quanbo due to lack of height, training is not hard enough, has lost the team position. Young Ma Kunyue although excellent physical conditions, but lack of experience in the game, the new season is difficult to become the first.

Therefore, Guoan urgently needs to bring in an experienced goalkeeper. Guangzhou goalkeeper Han Jiaqi has emerged as the ideal candidate. The 23-year-old Beijing-born player played for Portugal's Super Aves Sport ladder before returning to China in 2019 to join Guangzhou R&F (Guangzhou City). In the 2020 season, Han Jiaqi became the youngest starting goalkeeper in the Chinese Super League (CSL) with his outstanding performances and was named in the training rosters of both the U21 national team and the adult national team.

In the East Asian Cup, Han Jiaqi made five key saves to rescue China from a 0-0 draw with Japan. He caught the attention of Beijing fans when he saved two consecutive penalty kicks from Zhang Yuning in a match against Guoan in Guangzhou. Han Jiaqi's performances have made him the most popular goalkeeper in the Chinese Super League, and he was named to the national soccer team for the Asian Games last month.

Now, with Guangzhou City FC in financial difficulties and star players leaving the club, Han Jiaqi is also looking for a new owner. If Guoan can successfully bring in the popular international player, it will inject Beijing elements into the team and ensure the stability of the goalkeeper position in the next decade.

However, it is not easy for Guoan to introduce Han Jiaqi. Currently, several Chinese Super League clubs are interested in bringing him in. The key to whether Guoan can get what they want is whether their offer can impress the popular international player.
