Ma Xingyu has played twice for his hometown team. Born on November 4, 1989, he made his debut at Luneng's youth training base. After entering the professional game, he played for Chinese Super League giants Shandong Taishan from 2008 to 2012, and became a member of the "youthful whirlwind" when Dutch coach Teng Kart was in charge of the Taishan team in the 2012 season, making a number of debuts.
