The storm in the Chinese Super League has intensified, with many foreign stars choosing to flee in the last two years. Adrian, who has moved to Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic, Guangzhou R&F, Shanghai Shenhua and Henan Songshan Longmen, is one of them.

Despite still having a one-year contract with Songshan Longmen, Adrian decisively terminated his contract at the end of the season and quickly returned to Poland. Recently, in an interview with Polish media, Adrian said bluntly: "I took the initiative to terminate my contract because I didn't want to step on the Chinese field again. Now I am a free agent, free to join any team.

However, I don't intend to return to Poland, where the pay scale in the league is too low. My primary goal is to make money and to play in a seaside city where my children can receive a quality education in an international school.

Talking about the environment of the Chinese Super League, Adrian said, "Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Chinese soccer has hit a low point, the Chinese Super League has adopted the match system for the third consecutive year, and the income of the music department has been seriously affected. Many foreigners left China earlier than I did."

Adrian, 36, landed in the Chinese Super League in 2018, with his first stop being Changchun Yatai. Despite scoring three goals and assisting eight times this season, Yatai's overall strength was weak and he was unlucky to fall into the depths of the Chinese league after a late league defeat against Dalian.

In the 2019 season, Adrian left Changchun to join Chongqing Lifan. In that time, he became a shining star in the Chinese Super League, scoring 10 goals and assisting 14 times for Chongqing.

In the first half of the 2020 season, Adrian led Chongqing into the Championship Group, completing relegation ahead of schedule. To save money, Chongqing loaned Adrian to Guangzhou R&F in the second half of the season. in six rounds of the Chinese Super League, the Polish midfielder scored two goals and contributed four assists to help Guangzhou R&F complete their relegation task.

Chongqing loaned Adrian to Shanghai Shenhua in the 2021 season. Despite clashing with coach Cui Kangxi, Adrian contributed 5 goals and 2 assists to the team, helping Shenhua finish relegation ahead of schedule.

At the end of the season, Adrian did not choose to stay at Shenhua, but joined Henan Songshan Longmen as a free agent. Last season, he became the core of Henan's midfield, scoring 6 goals and assisting 12 times, winning the Assists King.

However, the environment in the Premier League was deteriorating and there were issues with unpaid wages in the Songshan Dragon Music department. Against this backdrop, Adrian decided to terminate his contract early and released a statement on social media to find the next home for himself.

Even though Adrian is about to turn 37, he has no plans to retire yet. At this age, it is more difficult to find a job in the European leagues. Perhaps joining Dalian, a beautiful seaside city, in the winter window will be the best choice for him.
