On January 25, 2023, Wuhan Zall Football Club released a heavy announcement stating that it would bid farewell to the stage of Chinese professional soccer completely. Although it had been foreshadowed that the match with Zhejiang Greentown at the end of the 2022 season might become Wuhan Zall's swansong, and it was hoped that the majority of the fans could spend their last moments with the team in Huzhou, the reality still mercilessly sounded the alarm of the end.

Wuhan Zall is not the first team to announce its dissolution, nor will it be the last.

Counting the track of Zhejiang Greentown team in recent years, we found an ominous pattern: in the last four seasons, Greentown team's opponents have disappeared at the end of the season.

In the 2021 season, Zhejiang broke into the Chinese Super League with a 1-0 victory in the elevation playoff against Qingdao. Qingdao, once touted as the Chinese version of Barcelona, had no choice but to opt out after two seasons in the Chinese Super League after failing to make their home debut.

In the 2020 season, Zhejiang Greentown won the final league match against Taizhou Yuanda with a score of 3-1, and thus qualified for the elevation playoffs. Taizhou Yuanda, a team from a county-level city, finally announced its dissolution due to problems such as a broken financial chain, poor management and no one taking over the team.

In the 2019 season, Zhejiang Greentown won 2-1 against Guangdong South China Tigers. However, the team came to an end a few months later as they were unable to gain access.
