Norway's Ranheim soccer club announced on Feb. 2 the signing of former Beijing Guoan veteran Hou Yongyong, while another naturalized player bid farewell to the Chinese Super League. Those players who have been selected for the Chinese national team and naturalized, Jiang Guangtai remains in the Chinese Super League, while Li Ke's retention remains in doubt.

In March 2022, the national soccer team concluded its Round of 12 competition. Despite the inclusion of five naturalized players, including Jiang Guangtai, Alan, Ackerson, Luo Guofu and Fernando, the results were less than satisfactory, with Fernando failing to suit up due to injury.

On January 31, 2019, Beijing Guoan officially announced that Hou Yongyong and Li Ke had joined the team.On February 23, 2019, Hou Yongyong came on as a substitute in the Super Cup against Shanghai Seaport, becoming the first naturalized player to make an appearance in an official match. However, due to injuries and other reasons, Hou Yongyong's performance at Guoan was not outstanding, making only 28 appearances, scoring 4 goals and 1 assist, and never being called up by the national team.After his contract with Guoan expired at the end of 2022, Guoan did not choose to renew his contract, and he returned to Norway to continue to play.

Li Ke's future is full of unknowns.
Jiang Guangtai is the only naturalized player still playing in the Chinese Super League. He left Guangzhou in August 2022 to join Shanghai Seaport, where he excelled to become a candidate for the "2022 China Golden Ball Award". As for Li Ke, his contract also expires at the end of 2022, and Guoan has yet to decide whether to extend it.
