
Amidst the soccer transfer rumors of January 28, Wuhan Sanzhen FC is in a desperate search for new recruits, with their eyes set on Ghanaian-born shot-stopper Aziz Yakubu of the Portuguese Super League. The promising young striker is expected to sign with Wuhan Three Town in the near future.
It is reported that Wuhan Sanzhen and Avihe Football Club have started in-depth discussions on the transfer of Yakubu, and both sides have made significant progress in the negotiations. Once the agreement is finalized, Yakubu will take over the baton from Malcolm and help Wuhan Sanzhen to fly high in the fierce Chinese Super League and AFC Champions League.
Yakubu, born in November 1998, is in his prime, standing at 1'87", he can play as both a center forward and a winger on the field. He started out with Red Bulls Ghana before joining Vizela in the Portuguese Superliga.In 2022, he moved to River Avi for €1 million and has so far made 17 appearances for the team, contributing eight goals and three assists. Yakubu's value has been assessed at €2.5 million by the German Transfer Market.
