The New Year is a time of joyous news! Lokomotiv Moscow hung a welcome banner to warmly welcome our soccer goddess Lu Yueyun to the club.
According to the New Beijing News, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, China's women's football added luster - January 21, Russia's Moscow Lokomotiv Football Club officially announced that the former Changchun women's football player Lu Yueyun officially transferred to the team. So far, China's women's football overseas "study abroad army" has grown to as many as 14 people.
Born in 1995, Lv Yueyun, playing as a midfielder, was a member of Wuhan Women's Football Team. Last season, she moved to Changchun Women's Football Team and played 14 matches for the team, scoring 3 goals. Unfortunately, due to injury, Lv Yueyun was unable to participate in the Women's Asian Cup in early 2022.
Lokomotiv Moscow revealed that Lu Yueyun will wear the team's No. 9 jersey. It is worth mentioning that she is not the only Chinese player in the Lokomotiv Moscow women's soccer team. Last August, 21-year-old Yang Shuhui joined Lokomotiv Moscow women's soccer team, becoming the first Chinese player to participate in the Russian Women's Premier League. Now, the "double Shu" of China's women's soccer team will join hands and fight side by side.
With the addition of Lv Yueyun, the total number of our women's soccer players overseas has increased to 14, who are: Wang Shuang (Louisville Athletic, USA), Tang Jiali (Madrid, Spain), Li Mengwen (Paris Saint-Germain, France), Yang Lina (Levante las Planas, Spain), Zhang Linyan (Grasshopper, Switzerland), Shen Mengyu (Celtic, Scotland), Shen Menglu (Celtic, Scotland), Zhao Yujie (Koehl, Denmark), Yang Shuhui (Lokomotiv Moscow, Russia), Lv Yueyun (Lokomotiv Moscow, Russia), Tu Linli (Iceland), Xiao Yuyi (Adelaide United, Australia), Wu Chengshu (Canberra United, Australia), Li Jiayue (Galatasaray, Turkey).
