In the early morning of January 19th, a landmark 17-day cycle drew to a successful conclusion. The Chinese men's soccer team, under the leadership of Coach Yang Chen, ended the 17-day first assembly training, and the coach's face overflowed with the affirmation and satisfaction of the hard work of the players on the training ground.

As the wheel of the year turns to the threshold of June, the call to prepare for the U17 Asian Cup has already been sounded. on January 3, Yunnan became the temporary home of the national soccer team, and the team's training was carefully planned into two phases. First, there were nine days of intensive military training and physical recovery aimed at reshaping the players' fighting form. Immediately after, from January 12, the team entered the second phase - high-intensity technical and tactical training. Day after day, the team not only conducts two rounds of training during the day, but also warms up for the Asian Cup preliminaries at night.

In order to deepen the players' understanding of tactics, the coaching team carefully planned a series of classes, and the evening business learning course was especially emphasized. In the classroom, each player not only recorded notes, but also thought diligently, wrote down their personal opinions before the class, and actively spoke during the class to share their insights. After careful analysis and summarization by the coaching team, each day's training has a clear solution. "Your understanding and implementation will directly affect your position in the team. After constant sharpening, I believe we all have a deeper understanding of tactics." Coach Yang Chen's words ring true.

In accordance with the training program, the U17 National Team will regroup on the last weekend of October to start their overseas training tour. On January 17, the official announcement from the AFC was made, confirming that the draw for the final stage of the 2023 U17 Asian Cup will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on March 30, with the U17s in the fourth slot.

As the U17 Asian Cup, which was originally scheduled to be held in 2020, was forced to be canceled due to a variety of objective factors, this year's Asian Cup has become the U17 national team's reappearance after the final stage of the 2018 Asian Asian Cup in Malaysia. Based on the results of the 2018 U16 Asian Junior Championship, the teams for this year's Asian Cup will be grouped on this basis. Unfortunately, the Chinese U16 national team at that time did not reach the final stage, so the new U17 national team could only compete as the fourth slot.
