The years have gone by, and in 2006, Mbemi said goodbye to Paris and moved to Marseille, where he joined forces with Cana. However, in the summer of 2009, he embarked on a parting journey to France. After a trial in England, he finally sailed to La Liga and joined Almeria, who were relegated in the 2010-11 season despite only one goal and one assist. 29-year-old Mbami started a new chapter in a foreign country.

New flights in the Chinese Super League, a short stay

Dalian Albin had their eye on this powerhouse player, but without the help of a full foreign aid quota, Mbami was loaned to Changchun Yatai. The mystery of identity was unraveled in Changchun Yatai, and the confusion between Dalian Shide and Dalian Albin added a few waves to the journey. Half a year later, Mbami joined Dalian Albin, and the clouds of suspicion cleared.

Blooming in a foreign land, briefly brilliant

Changchun Yatai's half season, Mbami's performance is like a bright star. Against Shandong Luneng, he made 34 passes and 6 interceptions, helping the team to a home draw. Coach Shen Xiangfu was full of praise, and Mbami's world-class performance is expected.

With 15 games and 3 goals, Mbami has left a deep footprint in Changchun Yatai. Beating Shaanxi Renhe and Evergrande at home, he became the team's hero. Off the pitch, he also learned to use chopsticks, tasted dog meat and integrated into his new environment.

"Legend of the cat, exotic flavor

Affectionately called "Cat" by his teammates at Changchun Yatai, Mbami's lively personality has won him favorable comments. His interest in Chinese culture and his love for the city of Changchun have left him with unforgettable memories in this part of the world.

Leaving Dalian to fight again

Zhang Wailong, the coach of Dalian Albion, didn't let Mbami stay for tactical reasons. The addition of Roshenbach put Mbami out of work for half a year, and in 2012 he joined Saudi Arabia's Ittihad, and three months later, in the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League, he helped the team eliminate Guangzhou Evergrande and became "Evergrande's bitter rival".

South American Journey, Returning to the Roots

After 12 games for the Colombian millionaires, Mbami returned to France to play for Le Havre in the French B. In 2016, he officially retired from the game and made his home at Le Havre. Mbami, a player who left his mark on international soccer, has finally found a home of his own.

Outside of soccer, keep the faith

After retiring from the game, Mbami turned down an offer from the Cameroon Football Association because he felt that former players were not given their due when they were managers of the national team. In the face of the turmoil in Cameroonian soccer, he chose to stay away and stick to his beliefs.

The years are like a song, and you die young.

It is sad to see soccer greats such as Pele, Vialli and Mbemi pass away in early 2023 due to illness. May they rest in peace and may all soccer lovers be free from illness.
