Amidst the year-end hustle and bustle, the fixtures for the 33rd and 34th rounds of the Chinese Super League were unveiled in the late afternoon of December 24th. The 33rd round of fixtures will kick off on December 27th and culminate on December 30th and 31st, with seven matches on the 31st to be played simultaneously at 15:00hrs.
Six of the 33rd round matches in the official Chinese Super League (CSL) schedule take place at 15:00, while three start at 20:00. Among the matches, Shenzhen team plays Chengdu Rongcheng, Guangzhou City faces Guangzhou team, and Wuhan Changjiang and Changchun Yatai stage a three-game relegation battle. Chengdu Rongcheng versus Wuhan Changjiang, Beijing National Security versus Henan Songshan Longmen, and Shanghai Harbor versus Shanghai Shenhua are the matches involving the fight for the AFC Champions League places. And in the afternoon session, Cangzhou Lions take on Hebei, which has nothing to do with the overall situation. The three matches in the night session, Wuhan Sanzhen against Shandong Taishan, Zhejiang against Tianjin Jinmen Tigers, and Meizhou Hakka against Dalian Ren, have nothing to do with the title race.
The 34th round of fixtures will be staged on December 30th and 31st, ensuring a successful conclusion to the 2022 Chinese Super League season during the year.On December 30th, Hebei will play two matches against Shanghai Shenhua against Shenzhen at 15:00, which will have no direct impact on the Super League title and relegation situation.On the 31st, seven matches will be played at the same time at 15:00 in order to guarantee the fairness of the tournament.
It is worth mentioning that in the last two rounds of Super League matches, some teams were unable to play in their original home stadiums for some reason, or changed their home stadiums in other places. Shandong Taishan could not return to Jinan for the last two rounds, Beijing Guoan returned to Rizhao after a short round in Haikou, Shenzhen switched to Foshan for a short round in Haikou to advance to their home stadium, and Henan Songshan Longmen continued to stay in Haikou. According to the schedule, the nine matches of the 33rd round are held in Haikou and Jinjiang.
