In the final moments of 2023, the 34th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) was rekindled when Shanghai Harbour Football Club (SHFC) faced Changchun Yatai at 15:00 on December 31st at the Mission Hills Soccer Base Stadium in Haikou. Only 3 minutes after the start, Lu Wenjun gave Harbour the lead with a precise header. N'Diaye scored twice and Karon added the icing on the cake to give Harbour a 4-0 lead at half time. In the end, Seaport sealed the fourth place of this season's Super League with 65 points from this brilliant performance.
On the day of the match, Liu Wei acted as the referee and Dai Igo escorted as the VAR referee. Before the war, Seaport was fourth in the table with 62 points, while Changchun Yatai was twelfth with four points.
The match was full of highlights. Just 3 minutes into the match, Vargas took a free kick to the penalty area and Lui grabbed the ball to give Harbour a fantastic 1-0 lead.
