In the Supplementary Notice on Further Improving the Implementation of Policies Related to the 2022 Season of Professional Leagues at All Levels (Football Word (2022) No. 268) issued by the Football Association on July 7, 2022, the Association once again clarified the responsibilities of professional clubs, requiring them to accurately interpret the policies, strictly implement rectification plans, and conduct detailed combing and reporting on historical salary arrears.
Accordingly, most of the clubs have completed at least 70% of the task of resolving outstanding wages. In compliance with the relevant provisions of the Circular on the Work Related to the 2022 Season of the Chinese Super League, the Chinese First Division League and the Chinese Second Division League (Soccer Word (2022) No. 121) issued on April 2, 2022, the clubs must settle all historical salary arrears by the end of the year.
The authorized person of each club is required to submit the repayment vouchers to the designated contact person of the Football Association before January 6, 2023, and the Football Association will strictly examine the submissions.
For those clubs that fail to implement the above rectification requirements, the FA will take severe measures to penalize them in accordance with the relevant regulations.
