At the end of the year, the CFA released a heavy notice through official channels for clubs in the Chinese Super League, Chinese League A and Chinese League B - the CFA's work on the implementation of policies related to the 2022 season of the professional league. This document requires that all authorized persons with salary arrears issues must submit the latest proof of repayment to the CFA before January 6 next year so that the CFA can strictly review the materials submitted by the clubs.

In the face of the complicated chaos in the domestic professional soccer world, especially the persistent problem of clubs defaulting on salary payments, the Football Association took a decisive step in April this year and issued a notice on the work related to the 2022 Chinese Super League, Chinese First Division and Chinese Second Division. The notice clearly states that clubs must resolve all historical wage arrears before December 31st. At the same time, the Football Association also set three key nodes of July 31, October 31 and December 31, requiring clubs to pay back wages in stages. For clubs that fail to pay overdue wages, the FA warned that it will take drastic measures including deducting league points, relegation and even disqualification from admission.

Under the supervision of the Football Association (FA), on November 5 and 23, the FA penalized clubs in the Chinese Super League (CSL) such as Hebei, Wuhan Changjiang, and Shanghai Shenhua, as well as a number of clubs in the Chinese First Division (CFD) and the Chinese Second Division (CSB) with different levels of point deductions. Among them, Hebei and Changjiang clubs were deducted league points for consecutive violations. If these clubs have not repaid the outstanding wages by December 31, they will face the serious consequences of relegation or disqualification from the access qualification.

It is worth mentioning that due to a variety of objective factors, this season's Chinese Super League until December 31st to come to an end. The specific arrangements for the new season, such as the schedule and system, have not yet been announced. In view of the time required for clubs to review the arrears of wages, the final results of the review may not be revealed until mid-January next year.
