On December 14th, a breaking news came out from Sky Sports: WholesaleClearanceUK, a business, printed up to 18,000 commemorative England Championship shirts, surrounded by passionate England fans!
Baxter, a 46-year-old avid fan and managing director of the company, was so confident that England would return home that he decided to print the shirts before the quarterfinals. On the back of the shirts were the words "England 2022, champions, home at last", but England went out of the tournament in the quarter-finals.
Confronted by Sky Sports, Baxter lamented, "I decided to take a chance a few years ago when we acquired a batch of blank soccer shirts and hoped it would be a success. Even without considering the proceeds from the commemorative shirts, as an English fan I am still disappointed with England's performance.
Given that sales of the commemorative shirt have struggled to take off, we've had to reduce the price. Now, wear it and proudly display your collection, or use it to polish your windows, or, perhaps, we can use it to celebrate Great Britain's women's football team's brilliant victory at the Euros."
