Stepping into December 9, the global soccer stage ushered in a noteworthy piece of news: FIFA officially released the latest FIFA Women's National Team Ranking for the end of the 2022 season. In this list, the Chinese women's soccer team's points have not fluctuated, but the world ranking has managed to climb to 14th place, and in the Asian region is firmly in the 4th position.

It is worth mentioning that the FIFA women's soccer rankings are released on a different cycle than men's soccer, only four times a year. According to the established plan of FIFA, this year's rankings will be released on March 25th, June 17th, August 5th and December 9th. The rankings, however, are based on the results of the group draw for the final stage of the 9th Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023. It is worth mentioning that the FIFA Women's Rankings had been updated for the first time back on October 13th.

Looking back at the last FIFA Women's Football Ranking, released on October 13th. At that time, the Chinese women's soccer team was ranked 15th in the world with 1,862.87 points, and also ranked fourth in Asia. After a scoring cycle with no international A-level matches, the Chinese women's soccer team has kept the same number of points but moved up one place in the world ranking, while the Asian ranking has remained stable.

In terms of Asian rankings, the top 10 associations are: North Korea, Japan, Australia, China, South Korea, Vietnam, Taipei, Thailand, Myanmar and Uzbekistan. North Korea is the only Asian team in the world's top 10, while the top five Asian teams are all in the world's top 20. Associations ranked 11-20 include: Philippines, India, Iran, Jordan, Hong Kong, Laos, Bahrain, Malaysia, Guam and Indonesia.
