In the late afternoon of December 8, 2022, a heated 34th round matchup of the Central League was staged. In the match between Kunshan and Zibo Cuju, Ildeberto scored a crucial goal to give Kunshan a 1-0 victory, and with an impressive record of 28 wins, 5 draws and 1 loss, the team successfully lifted the Central League title. Qingdao Hainiu and Nantong Zhiyun were the second and third teams to advance to the next season's Chinese Super League.
Kunshan's performance this season has been nothing short of spectacular, as they not only broke the win-draw-loss record of the First Division, with an excellent record of 28 wins, 5 draws and 1 loss, which set a new record for a 24-game season with 17 wins, 6 draws and 1 loss for Guangzhou Evergrande in 2010, but also set a new all-time high with a total of 89 points, surpassing Wuhan Tri-Town's 79 points from the previous season.
