In a stormy turn of events on Nov. 23, the FA announced a second points deduction penalty for seven clubs. Shanghai Shenhua, Wuhan Changjiang, Hebei, Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic, Sichuan Jiuniu, Heilongjiang Bingcheng, and Zibo Cuju suffered a collective six-point deduction for failing to settle 70 percent of their wage arrears within the stipulated deadline.

Looking back to Nov. 5, the FA's penalty notification came down like thunder, with Hebei, Wuhan Changjiang and Hunan Xiangtao (C.B.) suffering a three-point deduction for the 2022 season for failing to enforce the 30 percent wage arrears rule.

In accordance with the FA's stringent regulations, all clubs must complete the cleanup of all outstanding wages by December 31st.

For those clubs that fail to settle all wage arrears by December 31, a harsh fate of relegation or disqualification awaits them.
