On November 18th, Suzhou Dongwu and Wuhan Changjiang of the Chinese Super League (CSL) had a thrilling penalty shootout in the second round of the FA Cup, and Suzhou Dongwu finally won with a thrilling score of 9-8 to advance to the next round.

Li Haowen broke the deadlock for Suzhou Dongwu in the 10th minute of the match, setting a new team record. However, Wang Jingbin quickly equalized for Wuhan Changjiang in the 48th minute of the second half. Then, in the 70th minute, youngster Huang Xuheng scored again to take a 2-1 lead over Wuhan Changjiang. But the game didn't end there. In the 71st minute, Wuhan Changjiang's Cao Xiaoyi scored an oolong goal to bring the game back to the same starting line, 2-2.

The two sides were then locked in a stalemate until the ninth round of penalty kicks, when Wuhan Changjiang's Liu Shangkun, Pi Ziyang, and Li Da took shots on goal, but they were all valiantly parried by Suzhou Dongwu's goalkeeper Guo Jiawei. In the end, Suzhou Dongwu eliminated Wuhan Changjiang in the penalty shootout with a score of 9-8 and advanced to the next round.
