In 1989, on July 16th, a boy named Gareth Bale was born in Cardiff, Wales. at the age of 10, Bale showed remarkable athleticism, with a speed of just 11.4 seconds over 100 meters. in April 2006, Bale made his debut at Southampton at the age of 16, becoming the second youngest player in the history of the team, following Theo Walcott.

In the same year, Wales were ranked just 73rd in the world and were second from bottom in the qualifiers. The national team career of Bale's idol, Ryan Giggs, had come to an end. in May 2006, Bale made his magical national team debut just a month after his club debut! He came on as a substitute and at 16 years and 315 days became the youngest player in Wales' history to make a key assist for his teammates. Three months later, Bale made his debut in a friendly against Brazil, competing with captain Ryan Giggs. Brazil's left back was Bale's later teammate Marcelo, and the right back was a name that Bale would find hard to get around in his career - Maicon. The three matches between Bale and Giggs mark the legacy of Welsh soccer. Bale joined Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2007 at the age of 18 for a transfer fee of €14.7 million. However, in his first two seasons, apart from injuries, Bale made only 24 appearances in the Premier League, and Tottenham lost all 24 matches! At this point, Bale was jokingly referred to as the "Premier League's first god of failure". It was not until the seventh round of the 2009-10 season at home against Burnley that Bale won his first Premier League win with a 4-0 lead as a substitute!

In Wales, Bale had his first world qualifier. However, apart from bullying Liechtenstein and Azerbaijan, Wales also looked out of sorts in front of other teams. In Europe, Wales can only be considered as a "fish belly" with some fighting power, and in 2010, the world ranking of Wales dropped to 112th, even lower than our Chinese men's soccer team (ranked 87th). On October 20, 2010, the jewel of the Red Dragons finally shone, as if a saint had descended. Facing the defending Champions League champions Inter Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Bale completed a hat-trick and became a one-time sensation! Returning to White Hart Lane in the second round, Bale attacked the left side of the field, leaving Maicon, Sanetti, Samuel and other famous players in the dust! The clouds and fog, chasing the wind and electricity, as if the Monkey King, the Great Sage of Qi Tian Da Sheng, Bale, stepping on the green field of the somersault clouds, since then the name "Great Sage"! Bale's season of fame is the 10-11 season, he was elected Tottenham Hotspur's best rookie, and won the PFA award.
