At 15:00 on November 11, a highly anticipated soccer feast was staged at the Dalian Soccer Youth Training Base. The 29th round of 2022 match between Kunshan and Zibo Cuju ended with Kunshan declaring victory with a score of 4-1. The win allowed Kunshan to successfully surpass the Central League One team and complete the season's feat five rounds ahead of schedule. Tracing the origins of the Kunshan Football Club, it was born off the December 12, 2014 creation of Zhenjiang Huasa Football Club. Zhenjiang Cultural Tourism Huasa made its debut in the China Amateur League in 2016 and qualified for China B. In 2017 and 2018, Zhenjiang Cultural Tourism finished 21st and 13th in China B. In July 2018, the team relocated to Kunshan and was officially renamed Kunshan FC on Dec. 11.In 2019, Kunshan FC finished ninth in China B while also qualified for the Central League. In the 2020 and 2021 Central League A, Kunshan FC finished third and ninth, respectively, and eliminated Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao from the 2020 FA Cup to reach the last eight. This season, Kunshan faced Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) in the first round, but due to an epidemic, BIT failed to enter the tournament on time, resulting in Kunshan failing to enter the promotion zone in the first four rounds. However, in the following five to 26 rounds of the tournament, Kunshan performed well, ranking first 12 times, second 11 times and third three times. From the 23rd round till now, Kunshan is firmly at the top of the table, and with 24 wins and 5 draws, they are the only undefeated team in the Central League. Before this round, Kunshan was 18 points ahead of Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic with 74 points. Although Kunshan only got one point in today's match against Zibo with six rounds left in the China First Division, it didn't stop them from overtaking the success five rounds early. In the afternoon, Kunshan defeated Zibo Cuju 4-1, bringing their total to 77 points, 21 points ahead of fourth place, making them the first team to overtake the China First Division this season.
