The group draw for the final stage of the tournament kicked off in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. As the results of the draw were revealed, our U20 national youth team, positioned in the third slot, fell into Group D along with Saudi Arabia, Japan and Kyrgyzstan. The tournament will take place in the spring of 2023, from March 1 to 18, on Uzbek soil.

The qualifiers attracted 44 teams from the AFC's 47 member associations. These teams were divided into 10 groups, with the top two teams from each group, plus the second-placed teams from the five groups with the best results, making a total of 16 teams advancing to the final stage.

The 16 teams will be divided into four groups of four, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. According to the tradition of the AFC, the classification of the youth tournament usually refers to the results of the previous tournament.
