On October 7, China's U-17 soccer team defeated the Northern Marianas Islands by a score of 11:0 in the second round of the 2023 U-17 Asian Cup Qualifying Tournament, which was held in the middle of the autumn season. After the match, China's head coach Yang Chen and Wang Yudong, who was honored as the best player, appeared at the press conference.

Commenting on the match, Mr. Yang said, "Given the impact of the epidemic, the opportunity to participate in this tournament is not easy, I expect to give those players who have not appeared in the tournament a chance to work out, and, of course, to expand the score is what we are looking for. The Northern Marianas team is obviously well prepared and we had some challenges in today's game, but the team gave it their all. The next game against Australia will be a real test."

Talking about his confidence in the match against Australia, Yang Chen responded, "All of us will give our best in the face of Australia. Later I will watch Australia's match against Cambodia, which will help us assess our opponents more accurately."

Wang Yudong, who came on as a substitute in the second half and scored four goals, was honored as the best player. When asked if he was satisfied with his performance, Wang Yudong said modestly: "The coach wants us to play faster and score more goals, I'm quite satisfied with my own performance, but every game should play out the best themselves."
