In an interview on September 27, Zhao Mingjian, who now plays for Kunshan in the Central League, revealed the origin of his nickname "Zhao Si".
Talking about this, Zhao Mingjian lamented: "Looking back to 2013, I was addicted to the drama Country Love, and I was fascinated by the character Zhao Si, which I thought was quite similar. Since then, this nickname has stayed with me, and I haven't changed it since 2013.
"Nowadays, as I get older, I used to have numerous nicknames such as 'Little Tiger' and 'Hair Sword'. But as the years go by, people seem to prefer to call me by 'Fourth Brother', which also seems more respectful."
